Protein Waffles, Allergy Free Life Style

It’s no secret I have a sweet tooth, but I love when I can find something that feels a bit sinful to eat and figure out a recipe to make it healthier and allergy-free. After going gluten-free a few years ago waffles seemed like a breakfast item I could safely say goodbye to. Other than buckwheat, most waffles aren’t gluten-free and honestly, while delicious, are not particularly healthy. This changed after I discovered a recipe that was full of protein, and free of allergens: Power Protein Waffles!

NYC Bagels, with a Gluten-Free Twist

Cinnamon raisin, everything, plain, blueberry, onion, french toast, rainbow bagel. I love them all. There’s nothing better than a Sunday morning with coffee, newspaper, and a toasted everything bagel topped with onions, capers, and lox. That is, unless you’re subjected to eating a gluten-less bagel, which for the most part are bad. Really, really bad. Until Sweet Note Bakery came along.

Allergy-Free Baked Goods in Under 60 Minutes? It’s Possible!

Through my mad search combos on Google, I stumbled upon The Really Great Food Company. Intrigued by their straight-forward and promising name, I found that they made baking mixtures that were gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, and more. Best of all? They had a Irish Soda Bread mix. Taking less than an hour to make this seemed like something I could make happen. It’s a miracle!

Going Crazy for Kugel!

Today we’re talking all about KUGEL! The combo of sweet and savory really speaks to me..which is why when I moved towards a gluten-free, nut-free diet, Kugel seemed like a dish I’d have to say goodbye to. With Passover right around the corner, I went on a search for my favorite gluten-free, nut-free, kugel recipes.
