The Allergy Free Lifes’ List of Top Ten Allergy Friendly Halloween Treats

Even though my trick or treating days are long gone, I still love to indulge in Halloween candy and treats! I’ve rounded up my top ten list of the best allergy friendly treats to enjoy during the holiday season.

Suncups, made from sunflower butter and free of the top eight allergens

Suncups: My favorite nut free, gluten free replacement for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Sun Cups are made from sunflower seed butter. They’re 100% safe for tree nut, peanut, gluten, egg, soy, and dairy allergies, and come in a variety of flavors, including milk chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate caramel, and dark chocolate mint. Surf Sweets: While I’m partial to chocolate, Surf Sweets are delicious gummy and sour candies that are free of the top ten most common food allergens, including dairy/casein, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and soy. They’re also made with natural colors and flavors, and are all gluten free.

Divvie’s: I first came across Divvie’s cookies when flying on Jetblue as they are carried in the terminal at JFK. I appreciated this allergy free offering, and was impressed that they were 100% tree nut and peanut free. The cookies sadly aren’t gluten free, which means I’ve been unable to enjoy them until this point. I’m happy to say that Divvie’s now offers gluten free, tree nut and peanut free chocolate bars. During the Halloween season they have limited edition treats including chocolate ghosts and bats, jelly beans, and caramel corn! As a bonus, all of their candy is also dairy and egg free.

The new mini bars are perfect for trick or treaters, or if you’re craving a small bite of chocolate 😉 I wont tell!

    There was a recent letter from Haribo stating that people with peanut/tree nut allergies should not eat their candy.
